The Caucasus

the Caucasus is a region between Russia, Turkey and Iran, between Europe and Asia named after the Caucasus Mountains that run like a backbone through the region. The region is historically and culturally very rich and complex with many tensions. We saw this last month with the flight of the Armenian population of Artsakh/Nagorno Karabakh into Armenia.
