Uniting Europe in Prayer
About Us
We are Christians from many European countries, working together to pray regularly for our continent, regardless of our church style or denomination. We do not pray only for our own countries or only for the European Union nations but for the whole continent in which God has placed us and given us authority in prayer.
When we say “Europe”, we mean the whole continent, from the Ural mountains in
the east to the Atlantic Ocean in the west; and from the Arctic north to the warm
Mediterranean in the south.
This continent Europe needs our prayers more than ever before, as God starts to shake us until we turn back to Him. God clearly promises: “Ask, and it shall be given to you.” (Luke 11,9).
Our prayer letters are always written by someone knowledgeable about the subject, who can summarise the subject to us and inspire us to pray, finishing with a few prayer points.
Our Roots
Canopy of Prayer over Europe was born out of the prayer gatherings of “Europeans
United in Prayer”, which is our other European prayer ministry. We are Europeans of
many nationalities and since 2006 we have met in over 30 European countries to
pray for the country and for Europe. We are also good friends and we find this unity
gives us an authority in prayer, and we have joy in praying for our continent! Find out

Change always occurs when Christians begin to pray. So “Change in Europe” is a
deeper understanding of this initiative. But the deepest motivation for this initiative is
the vision that Europe belongs to Christ. Therefore we agree with many others that
“Europe Shall Be Saved!”
Our Vision
Our vision is to cultivate a powerful movement that connects believers throughout the continent in prayer at a European level. We aim to bring forth transformation across Europe through heartfelt supplication. We are convinced that unified prayer with a shared purpose can bring change. Through our collective prayers, we can join in God’s purpose for Europe to ignite spiritual revival and show the world that there is still a God in Europe!
We can of course pray for Europe in our churches, houses of prayer and national prayer networks. But we achieve another level of power and authority if we step up to the level of praying together with other Europeans from many countries. We gain a different perspective and authority.
This happens every time we join together in unity, whether in face to face prayer gatherings, in online prayer calls, or simply when we all pray in the same week about a certain subject.
Out of this spiritual insight we endeavour to build up this Canopy of Prayer from all over Europe. In this growing group let us therefore exercise our authority as a spiritual army of the Lord. We rise up against spiritual fortresses in prayer and proclaim Jesus to be the Lord over our continent. He is the victor!
